Mast down, Season end in sight

Dear Readers,

by a hair it would have been no pictures in this post - because just at the moment, when I open the browser, I fell like scales from the hair, I've just thrown my new jeans, including SD memory card in the bag in the washing machine … But what a stroke of luck! Although the card was already wet and soapy, But it still managed to down the photos to see how long it ziehen.Mal now the card does not …

Yesterday we put in the mast Kopperby. Thus, the sailing season is coming slowly to an end. On one hand I would have liked to extend the sailing season a little backward - on the other hand, we were all summer long every spare moment on the boat. Mostly we just screwed it and used it, But we still have it brought to several hundred nautical miles. In addition to the summer cruise to Sweden in July, I was with my father and my uncle still nine days traveling through the Danish South Sea. The story about it in a few weeks you will read in the YACHT.

In two weeks, at the 29. October, is “Gipsy Girl” per Autokran's Land. This time without, that we are. I will namely be on the boat and the Hanseatic Yacht stand in Hall B2 at the bar, also answer questions. This time again we have invited great guest, The report on the state. Heath and Erich Wilts about, telling of the construction of their new Freydis, Sönke Roever, my old friend Egmont Friedl (“Mr. Rope-”), with whom I 2009 'm from Washington to New York and then sailed to the Azores. In particular I am looking forward to another friend, Boris Herrmann, of the Barcelona World Race, and new plans reported. There is so much to see and hear. I'm on both weekends there - comes along! 🙂

What we are tinkering on the boat all winter, We can not say yet. We first imposed a building freeze. In March, the boat will be repainted. Also makes the wood deck problems, It is raining in some places pure. Some joints have to be replaced in Teak, Also some parts repainted. Big Boat, great work …

Stay tuned. And will pass on the Hanseboot! I'm looking forward to it 🙂
