New pre-Lukan

Dear Readers,

The past weekend I spent in large part on the highway. Friday we went first to Holland via the A1. It withdrew, Construction site to construction site. Against 17 Cati and I finally had clock in Enschede, just across the border, to apply our new mainsail. It has 10 Years in the aft cabin of a contest 32 spent, because the rig had been converted to furling. Previously, it was only a year in operation. At the rivets, it has corroded a little to himself, in the foot, there are three rust spots – but otherwise it is still well in excess. Stable sewing, Two reefs, 300 Euro – was will man mehr? “A contest sail sign”, hat Cati gefordert, because you like the tulip in the sail. And even that it has, for there is indeed a sister ship. And a sail cover on it, there was free above!

After the short trip to Holland, I then sold for the purpose of Cati family celebrations in Minden, and I continue to Wolfsburg, to my family. The main reason was, deliver a marine plywood panel, from me my brother (Student Holzbautechnik) Green Wood wants a new plug-Schott. The second main reason for the stop: Again after many weeks of my family! 🙂 Actually, we were supposed to continue to Kopperby on Saturday morning, but as you know it so – it does not go away. First I thought it was Grilling, in which my mother has outdone itself again, then the meeting with my friend Samuel and Uncle Uwe, have not seen both of which I have long.

Sunday afternoon I was finally on the slopes to the north. Holiday Traffic, as expected. Four hours I needed for the route of Kopperby. After a delicious coffee with Nico and Birte of the Ballyhoo It then went to work immediately. The dish in the foredeck, the hatch was leaking under the, was almost full when I arrived. It was time, to do something.

After I struggled myself for hours in the week before, to get the wheel off the column, I had to mount the bummelig Luks actually 1,5 Days are allocated. A, two hours, to get it down, half a day for repair work and allow to dry, then a, two hours for the assembly. I have set out so, to toil until sundown. But to my amazement was to 1,5 Hours all over the stage. Fits, namely perfect!

It fits eigentich even better than the old section, the. There was something about. I've also now used with the opening facing forward, so that we later, in the Caribbean, Passage on board can create. Then anchored the front hatch is open to the wind and the other from the wind away. This creates suction.

Then I wanted to hit the mainsail, But it fits not yet. The Mastrutscher are too broad. I'll only have to replace.

So I could have taken care of 20 Clock on the way back to Hamburg and had to make two, three hours, order before the start of the new work week a little <Youth Language> to chill </Youth Language>. For the weekends hoses pretty, if one creates through the many renovations, two additional working days. It's time, that everything is done and we're on 28. July you can go sailing at last.

On the way back to Hamburg, I'm still caught in the doomsday:

Well, that the hatch is sealed and glued.
