Mission accomplished

Maverick is at her new berth in the loop – The trip was successful!

Slightly more than 450 Nautical miles in the wake. Overall 90 Engine hours on the mast staande route and the North Sea-Baltic Canal, we had to expect the old machine.
What really surprised me: There is really NOTHING essential to the ship broke! For this, that it had been well and happy five years (or even more?!) has not been moved, a really good cut. However, there are now a lot to do: The transmission leaks a little oil, The oil seals are probably tuned. Moreover, it is difficult to get out recently after a long motor ride of course. A typical problem of the conical gear, as I have learned. The furler is probably over by years of corrosion – what did the hand motion and not necessarily easier. I must be getting a new, expensive Furlex need. Otherwise it works amazingly well Maverick. The Windpilot gave us the last 20 Miles from Kiel to Kappeln wonderfully controlled, while I have been hiding because of the constant rain on the deck and went from there watch. How will it go now? I'll keep you up to date here!
