The weather is truly a gift. Steady wind, straight course towards the target. Especially here in “Bermuda Triangle” It could have turned out completely differently. The days just go by like that. We walk our watches at night, During the day, whoever is liveliest simply takes over. Same with cooking: Yesterday morning I fried an omelet with lots of vegetables. In the evening Michi cooked a vegetable and minced meat pan, but the increasing waves made his meal a little more unpleasant. The cockpit remains dry, but the entire foredeck is already covered in a thick crust of salt.
Then during the night watch there was a little excitement, because suddenly we saw an airplane 8 Miles north of us on the AIS. “A search and rescue aircraft”, I read on the monitor, “Speed: 0,5 Knots” – “On an airplane that is probably the case: watered”, Jens commented. And we couldn't quite explain the signal. Maybe a helicopter? But that would be pretty far out. Half an hour later we saw another one. Also below a knot of speed. Both seemed to almost float in place. Strange. Then a fishing boat with us 2,5 Node drive right next to it. Whether they are related? But despite a distance of only 7 We couldn't see anything for miles and new moon. This morning the wind left us for just an hour and we were almost ready to start the machine. But patience with the flapping parasailor was rewarded and the wind returned. Nevertheless, unfortunately only once today 138 Miles. More 250 Miles to Bermuda.
